CHARLES HORNER ART NOUVEAU SILVER AND ENAMEL SCARAB PENDANT 1915 Picture(s) and Description:

This is a stunning Art Nouveau triple part scarab necklace made by Charles Horner of Halifax. Made from solid silver and enamelled in iridescent shades of blue. The inner wings of the scarab are turquoise and the edges a pretty royal blue.The body of the scarab, suspender and drop are in a beautiful kingfisher blue. All of the necklace is in excellent condition and there are no scratches or damage to any of the enamel. Fully hallmarked for silver, Chester 1915 and has the maker's initials C H. From the suspender to the bottom of the drop the necklace measures 6.8 cms / 2.7 ins. The scarab measures 4.5 cms / 1.8 ins across. Length of chain to the suspender is 48 cms / 19 ins. This is an original item and not a reproduction or copy. Wonderful design and looks fabulous when worn. It will be supplied in a new gift box and would make a great antique gift.
